Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water systems, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
